Fereta tea company
Fereta Tea — is finely ground Georgian black tea — with authentic, organic, hand-picked leaves that are sourced from the village of Fereta in the Vani Municipality, western Georgia — a region with deep tea-growing heritage, reflecting the unique terroir and traditional cultivation methods. Harvesting & Quality: Leaves are carefully harvested by hand at optimal maturity, that ensures only the best quality raw material goes into every batch, preserves leaf integrity, rich flavor, vibrant aroma, and natural nutritional qualities.

Processing Method (Orthodox Technology): Fereta Black Tea is produced using traditional orthodox processing, preserving the integrity of the leaf and natural aromatic compounds. Withering involves freshly harvested leaves being naturally withered to reduce moisture while maintaining cellular structure. Rolling (twisting) gently releases enzymes and essential oils, initiating oxidation and shaping the leaf. Oxidation (fermentation) is controlled under regulated temperature and humidity to allow full flavor development. Drying (firing) is carried out at precisely controlled temperatures to halt oxidation, stabilize the product, and fix aroma. Sorting and packaging remove non-standard particles, and the tea is packaged under hygienic conditions in compliance with quality and safety standards.

Sensory Profile: Dry leaf is hand-twisted, whole-leaf orthodox style. Infusion color is clear amber to deep copper. Aroma is warm, natural, and malty with subtle woody notes. Flavor is smooth and balanced with low astringency; notes may include malt, dried fruit, honey, light nutty tones, and gentle muscatel nuances.

Caffeine content is approximately 30–60 mg per 200 ml cup, depending on brewing parameters. Polyphenols (catechins and theaflavins) account for approximately 20–30% of dry weight. Moisture content is below 6%, with trace amounts of essential oils contributing to aroma.

Quality and Purity: No artificial flavorings or colorants are used, and the tea is produced in small batches with strict quality control applied at every processing stage.

Georgian tea craftsmanship. Hand-picked, traditionally processed, and naturally grown, it delivers a smooth, balanced cup with authentic regional character and reliable quality.
